This qualification has received high acclaim from Plymouth University since it was set up two years ago, being described as ‘an exemplar degree course’ by Ross Pomeroy (Faculty Partnership Manager).
In the first year of this programme, you will explore the new career opportunities that have developed due to the growing sustainability and carbon reduction policies affecting every workplace. You will meet with RegenSW and other employment groups to develop workplace skills and knowledge, often attending meetings and conferences alongside employers. You will learn to network and communicate with employers to really understand the workplace.
In the second year, work experience makes up a third of your learning, with time spent on live projects with local employers, so that every opportunity for a progression into a career from this course is a real possibility. Careers in project managing renewable energy farms, consulting employers on carbon savings, working with councils and communities to develop energy generation, waste and recycling modelling advisors, are just some of the few that would be ideal for those with this qualification.
