We had a wide range of exhibitors at this year’s 361 Energy Fair along with live musicians and other entertainment.  The event was sponsored by Co-Cars, the pay as you go car club, who brought two of their Toyota Yaris hybrid vehicles.  Star of the show was the Tesla Model S electric car, which attracted many visitors and at the end of the show a few were taken out for a drive.

We had a great range of high quality renewable energy companies, including Mole Energy, RES (Devon) Ltd, Optimum Heating / KWB Biomass boilers and GD Electrical & Solar.  Many were interested in switching over to LED lighting and South West Lighting and Electrical had an attractive selection.  Further energy saving technologies which were exhibited included secondary glazing from the CosyHome Company, infra red heaters from Multi Heat and Energy Systems Ltd, external wall insulation from GreenHus, an energy saving additive for wet central heating systems from Endotherm and double glazing from West Country Windows.

Other electric vehicles at the event included the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV from Devonshire Motors, Nissan Leaf and Nissan e-NV200 van from Barnstaple Nissan, Toyota Auris from Roundswell Toyota while EV Motion, the electric vehicle charging point specialists brought a Vauxhall Ampera.  For a cheaper mode of electric transport, The Bike Shed brought an excellent range of electric bikes.

Ilfracombe Sub Aqua Club brought a memorable display which included one of their boats and beautiful underwater photos.  The North Devon Green Party had a stand with plenty of information as did the Devon Wildlife Trust.  DARE promoted their energy advice services. Austin Philp from 361 Energy CIC had built an energy bike and visitors were able to try this out along with a Smoothie making bike provided by BJs Value House.  We also provided energy tariff switching advice and showed a range of videos in the North Devon Biosphere dome.

Entertainment included an art workshop from Jo Bushell using natural materials and live music, while refreshments were provided by Cafe Brazil, Karumba Koffee Kart and Waffle Delight. We would like to thank all our exhibitors and the visitors to the event.  We are hoping the 361 Energy Fair will be bigger and better next year.
