Are your heating bills through the roof? Would you like to live in a warmer, healthier, home? Do you want to reduce your carbon footprint? Want to find out how much it costs to renovate your home and about sources of finance?
Then our Retrofit Evening at Croyde Village Hall on Thursday 28th September from 7pm-8.30pm is for you. Our ‘how to retrofit your home and improve its energy efficiency’ event includes a presentation and discussion led by Alex Slattery from 361 Energy CIC.
Alex is a registered Retrofit Assessor and Coordinator who has retrofitted his own home. This included improving the insulation and installing an air-source heat pump and solar PV. With the recent changes announced to Government policy over heating, find out about the suitability of retrofitting a heat pump in an existing building.
Alex is our Director for Retrofit and has been the Retrofit Coordinator for projects for 361 Energy CIC in partnership with Devon County Council and with North Devon Homes. He has worked on a variety of houses with a range of retrofit challenges. He will be joined by another of our Directors, Jon Gething, who has installed solar PV and a battery at his home along with Jenny Challenger, our programme manager for Retrofit and Business Energy Advice.
361 Energy CIC is the leading provider of home energy advice in northern Devon working alongside North Devon and Torridge Councils and Devon County Council to help tackle fuel poverty and the energy crisis. We are currently developing a retrofit service for homeowners in northern Devon.
Retrofit is the process of making improvements to your home so it becomes more energy efficient with lower emissions. It might include adding insulation or a renewable technology like solar PV.
This event has been organised in association with Georgeham Parish Council as part of the Georgeham Climate Plan.
