The final preparations are under way for the 361 Energy Fair in Barnstaple Pannier Market on Sun 1 Nov.  We are excited by our line-up of exhibitors at this free event.  A major theme this year is low carbon vehicles and the star of the show will be a Tesla Model S supercar, which can accelerate to 60mph in 3.1 seconds and has a range of up to 330 miles.  The event is sponsored by Co-Cars, the pay as you go car club, who have recently introduced vehicles to Barnstaple at the Civic Centre and Whiddon Valley. Some of the best local installers of Renewable and Energy Saving technologies will have stands at the event and can advise you on everything from biomass boilers and solar panels to LED lighting and energy efficient additives for central heating systems.  You can meet members of local environmental groups and find out more about community energy.  361 Energy will be on hand to offer advice which can help you be greener and save money on your fuel bills.  Bring you electricity and gas bills along and we can see if you are on the cheapest tariff. There will also be entertainment and food available.  This includes an Energy Bike which has been built by one of our members, a Smoothie making bike which has been loaned to us for the day by BJs Value House in Barnstaple, an art workshop and videos about climate change and renewable energy.
